Funny Girl, the beloved Broadway musical made famous by Barbra Streisand in the 1968 film, tells the story of Fanny Brice, a talented and unconventional performer who rises to fame in the Ziegfeld Follies in the early 20th century.

“Funny Girl” is a heartfelt and humorous portrayal of a woman who refuses to let her unconventional looks or personality hold her back from achieving her dreams.

The show follows Fanny’s journey as she navigates love, success, and the challenges of being a female performer in a male-dominated industry.

But when she falls in love with a charming gambler along the way, Fanny must choose between her career and her heart.

Featuring iconic songs like “People,” “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” and “The Music That Makes Me Dance,” Funny Girl is a timeless classic which won a whole new generation of fans with the 2018 revival starring the Sheridan Smith and the current Broadway production starring Lea Michele of Glee fame.

With its unforgettable characters, stunning costumes, and unforgettable score, “Funny Girl” is a must-see for anyone who loves musical theatre!

This amateur production is presented by Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society by arrangement with Tams-Witmark, a Concord Theatricals Company (www.tamswitmark.com).

Simon Evans returns to Evesham for an extended headline set of brand new material!

L. Frank Baum’s classic novel comes to life in The Wizard of Oz. This faithful adaptation produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company features all the most beloved songs and moments from the 1939 classic film, brought to life onstage. Young Dorothy Gale is swept away by a tornado from her Kansas farm to the magical land of Oz. There, she encounters a host of whimsical characters: good witches, bad witches, animals that talk, scarecrows that walk, and things magical to behold. To find her way home, she must journey along the Yellow Brick Road to see the mysterious and all-powerful Wizard in Emerald City. Along the way, she makes new friends, but must also brave many dangers, including the Wicked Witch of the West, who will stop at nothing to get her hands on Dorothy’s magical ruby slippers. To make it home safely, Dorothy must learn an important lesson: there’s no place like home.
